There is no single right way to buy, deploy, or support medical equipment. The answer depends on who will run it, what happens when it breaks, and whether the device is core to your revenue or just a convenience. The conventional wisdom is to always get three quotes and pick the lowest price. My experience with 200+ equipment reviews suggests otherwise. The lowest quoted price often misses training, freight, loaners, and the staff time to chase documentation. Vendors who deliver quality can charge more because they know what support actually costs. The causation runs the other way: quality doesn't come from a higher price; a higher price is often what quality costs to deliver.

For a shockwave therapy device, treat it as a specialty purchase and ask hard questions about service.
